The ''Hofstra Law Review'', an entirely student run organization, is the flagship law review of Hofstra University School of Law. It is ranked 68 out of more than 1,000 law journals in the United States.〔()〕 Its inaugural issue was published in 1973. Entering its 44th volume, the ''Hofstra Law Review'' is published quarterly. The Managing Editors of Volume 44 are Peter Guinnane, ''Editor-in-Chief'', Michael Senders, ''Managing Editor of Staff'', and Leron Solomon, ''Managing Editor of Articles''. Recently, the ''Hofstra Law Review'' founded the ''Hofstra Law Review'' Alumni Association. The mission of the Alumni Association is to get in touch with alumni of the Law Review to help build a strong network of Law Review alumni. The Law Review has created the position of Alumni Affairs Editor in order to spearhead this initiative. The Volume 44 Alumni Affairs Editor is Tyler Margolis. In 2005, the ''Hofstra Law Review'' began publishing a new section entitled "Ideas." "Ideas" serve as the vehicle for short pieces—from three to 10 pages in length and having a minimal number of footnotes—on topics of interest to scholars and practitioners. There are no subject-matter restrictions and no requirement that the pieces relate to one another.
